Yup! And I was soooo surpised when I read the health guarantee on the site....72 hours! My gosh! And her dogs look like they're crossed and she doesn't mention anything on her site that her beagles are crossed or pure. She should just come out and say it....they're not pure breds!

They may indeed be "purebreds" but defiantly poorly bred. You can have poorly bred purebreds that look like mixes. Breeders that advertise "smaller" versions of a breed occasionally do breed mixes because they introduce a smaller breed to bring down the size of their beagles. Anyone who purposely breeds against standard is simply a puppy producer and adding to the over population problem. Good luck in your search. I have added a link to a really good check list that you can fill out and answer for breeders you come across. You will have to ignore the breed specific info though and apply your breed to the questions. http://www.american-belgian-malinois...lreputable.htm

Even though I think this breeder sucks and is probably a puppy mill. I also think that the 72 hour guarantee is probably not the genetic guarentee. I know alot of breeders that will only offer a guarantee for transmittable sicknesses for 72 hours so that the new owners can get them to a vet for their own health check. This is because the new owner may not take a baby puppy's immunity into consideration, and want to show off the new puppy or take it to the pet store and it could catch an illness from another dog while in the new owners care. Which wouldn't be the responsibility of the breeder. (The first set of shots does not 100% protect against illness.)This guarantee is usually seperate from the genetic disorder health guarentee. ( if this breeder is even providing one.)
Don't get me wrong. I don't think this sounds like a good breeder at all. I just don't think that it is the same kind of health guarantee.
