I'm totally baffled. My problem child cocker spaniel is not only turning down most foods I give her, she's stopped eating most of her veggies and when I gave her a RMB today she only licked at it....I have no idea what's wrong with her! My angel-child is presently attacking her bone...but my problem child is looking at me like I don't understand her (and I don't at this point!) Saw a vet last week and said she was fine. Maybe her teeth hurt?? But I don't see what she might have done to hurt her teeth....Any suggestions?

Did you see the vet before or after she stopped eating?
How old is she? |

After she stopped eating...and she's 4.

hmm...could be, but it was pretty cool last week. It never hits above 24C here (that's around 75F for you guys below the border). Except today and tomorrow apparently...

I would have blood work done on her immediately to check kidney and liver function.
If she gets a clear checkup, a day or so of fasting with clear liquids only will usually make the appetite make a strong return. |

thanks for the advice. It's been going on for awhile now and it's worrying. We'll see what the vet says.
