Who has a cur or cat?

All right, it's been about a year since I first asked this question. This was actually the first question I ever asked on Chaz. I figured that a lot of new members have joined since then, and there may be lurkers out there as well.

*ahem cough cough*

Anybody have a blackmouth cur or catahoula leopard dog?

I owned a catahoula when I was about 3. my 1st dog actually, my parents ordered him from a breeder and he was the best. I walked on this dog's collar put my hand in his food, tugged on his ears but he was always very patient and loving. He always joined me for my tea parties, and he didnt mind me dressing him up as long as he got some cookies lol

Well, you replied to my first post ever about curs, so you know I have a (suspected) Mountain Cur. I actually sent her picture to a few breeders, and they confirmed that she looks like a purebred.

I almost had one but I am definitely going to have one or the other, perhaps both sometime during my lifetime

I have never really known about the Catahoulas until I joined this board!! lol

I used to read dogs books upon dog books and remember seeing "leopard spotted" dogs though lol

They have definately intriged my mind though. Reading all about Voodoos behaviours, they sound very interesting to have in your life lol

I had a catahoula leopard dog when I was still in H.S. My mom and step dad took care of him when I moved away, but he ended up with heart worms and died.

didn't knw much about black mouthed curs or catahoulas before i joined this board i think the cats are beatiful! and i've fallen in love with the curs and have researched them and would someday like to own one

We've had quite a few catahoulas come through the shelter I work at. They're incredibly cool dogs- I'm always tempted to bring them home. Most recently, we had a litter of catahoula/terrier mix pups, and I fell madly in love with a little girl named Francine. Unfortunately, I think two is the reasonable limit right now.

I also think that both breeds are beautiful....I especially love the Curs!
