i am almost finished, will post as soon as i am..wanted to bump this up for Bonster. (he peeked at Bronte and i am glad. That is the best part of all, if the customer is satisfied, i cant wait for them to go through the mail, but have decided to send all three at one time with fed ex so i know they will be safe. I have so little faith in our mail processing here.
Princess poppy i started when i was two..if you want i can show you one of my first ones! My mama saved so many but she especially saved the first ones. You can deffinatley tell it is a woman with breasts.
The way to get better is to do it alot. WE say practice practice but i think there is more to it then that, it is noticing things. You can spend a whole day seeing the differences in noses, or looking at negative space around something, with no pencil at all. Seeing pattern and color and how they play together. THen keeping a daily journal where you HAVE FUN with line and shading, experimenting with things like blind drawings, continous line, contrast, doodles, all will connect in your mind and somehow web together into a visual language for you. Today for me it was the sunlight that splashed against the trunk and limbs of the cedar trees out front. IT was pretty, and i kept a mental image that might show up in the future. Each time you make something you improve. Each time I make something i get an inch better, sometimes i gain a foot. The main thing is don't judge yourself against others, everyone's approach is different, and there is no limit to where you can go with your art. Just let it come from your soul, as a musician or a dancer does. That is my happy place in life, i can't imagine living any other way.
