Hi smkie! I would have drawn his feet but that was almost at the end of the paper! lol. You coud only see the very top of his feet in the reference photo I was using also. Sorry if it looks weird

I was just teasing you i hope you know that! Actually i am going to do a drawing of feet under a door one day..have been meaning to for years. In art school it was always funny how many ways people had of avoiding hands and feet. That is why they made us do just studies of both. I will have to drag up my feet study some day it will make you laff.
on my pencil golden i had to use three different dog's photos to finish the piece. It meant going on line and trying to find goldens that had similar fur for i couldn't see the back end of the dog, the tail or the feet in the photo. One thing i always do is pencil off a border of about an inch and a half on my paper before i start my layout. Then i always do my pre sketch on scrap paper, rub the back with graphite and transfer to the good paper before i spend a lot of time on it. This is a very good drawing! Next time you might try what i do, that way you will always be centered and have extra room if you need to change anything or want to add a detail to frame the piece. (i am fond of borders, it is the illustrator in me)

you can always hide feet in grass too..i have done that a ton of times! Good old grass is a favorite friend for lots of reasons
