This is probably going to sound very odd, but bear with me. You know how male dogs' genitals sometimes have that red thing poke out (I told you this was going to sound very odd), well my dog Alex used to not poke his out that much, but he has been doing it a lot lately. I don't know why. Any info on why he might be doing this, or at least does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Yes. I know exactly what you are talking about.
The "red thing" is the dog's penis. When it protrudes, it generally means he has an erection. If he's not neutered, now is the time. |

He's been neutered for about 12 years now, so that's not a problem. Is this anything to be concerned about? Why would he be having more erections than usual?

I have no idea, but in an older dog, I would consult your vet if you have seen changes recently.
