i have a question about my dog IM kinda concerned i got my dog fixed the Monday before Christmas he had to have two incisions because he had what is called cryptorchidism well about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks ago i noticed that in the middle of i winky it was like he hadn't gotten fixed i mean they where really big but then its like it disappeared well its been happening a lot but it doesn't ever say but it seriously looks like he is not fixed what could this be and should i be consernd

Yes. What you are seeing is the bulb of the penis, which enlarges when the male dog has an erection. This is 1/2 of what causes the tie when dogs copulate.

The bulb of the penis slips inside a sphincter on the bitch. Once it is constricted in this manner, it swells rapidly, tying the two together until mating is finished.

The bulb of the penis will be seen in the sheath near the base of the shaft.

Erections like this occur in both intact and neutered dogs, and are of no concern.

I wouldnt give yourself a false sense of security, females have the same if not more problems as the males
