No Blood? Pug advice needed!
Well, my moms pug is in heat right now, but she is not bleeding for some reason. She keeps on licking herself and her vulva is swollen so why isnt she bleeding? Usually she has to wear a doggy diaper. My mom is a little concerned.

The bleeding may not have kicked in yet, or she may actually skip most of the bleeding this time around. Mine have had heats where there was almost no bleeding, then the next one is back to normal.

It's called a silent heat. A silent heat is where the dog goes into estrus but doesn't show any signs of it.
We've had that happen with our intact female Tori, she has gone through "silent" heats. She has also had a split heat...so she had 3 heat cycles in one year.

My mom is going to try and breed her, but its hard to tell when she should. And yes, I already know that its not a great idea to breed her.
