I'll have to watch it. Although after seeing The Cove I'm hesitant to watch animal documentaries....

I've never seen The Cove - Blackfish is apparently "The Cove With Orcas" though.

I'm glad this thread came up, I thought about posting one myself last week after watching it but not having really made up my mind about it wasn't sure what to say...

The cove covered a slaughter. Blackfish is much less graphic.

I thought it was a good documentary and they could have covered much much more.

I haven't watched the cove but I found it helpful while watching to have the mute button ready and to be able to close my eyes if there was a part that I knew would be too emotionally distressing for me.

I found there was only one part like that for me so I just waited for it to pass.

I just found The Cove overwhelmingly sad. I felt very hopeless and confused after watching it. I'm not saying I believe animals, especially marine animals, aren't abused or taken advantage of but the majority of the population have little knowledge about how zoos, Sea World, etc work. Its hard to know what to believe. You see the millions who flock to Sea World and it's hard to believe they're being cruel. The documentary makes it seem like hell on earth for these animals. I'm not sure what to think. :\

I do know what I saw in The Cove was unacceptable to me, regardless who does it or why.
