There's a cashier at one of the Dillons I go to that I keep thinking looks vaguely familiar, but I just can't place her. Tonight she addressed me by name, and I STILL can't place her, and it's driving me nuts! And do I think to look at her name tag? NOPE! I'm pretty sure I went to school with her, but I don't have any idea where or when.

The show Parenthood is actually very good. It makes me all sorts of emotional though.

I just watched an episode dealing with teenage pregnancy.. I don't know why I still feel that relates to me. Maybe because I'm back in school? Weird.

I had a dream that we had kids. 3 of them. CHILDREN. and I woke up HAPPY.

I'm like mid-panic.

FEELINGSSSSSSSS

Oh and in other news I picked out my wedding dress today.
because this is what mature, responsible, 21 year old adults do in their spare time.

I am so beyond pathetic.

After a week of horrible night's sleep, I picked up a different sleep aide tonight. (The one that isn't benadryl, but the other antihistamine...) Totally drowsy. I better actually fall asleep and stay asleep, instead of tossing and turning all night long.

I don't have any sales/commissions pending at the moment (I got the last one taken care of today with my day off! Yay!) so I'm working on making an all-in-one winter gear piece for Logan. It's a blanket/coat/harness/vest thing that is a bear of a project, but I hope it will be awesome when it's finished! Of course I changed my color plans at the last minute, so I need to get different reflective ribbon tomorrow before I finish it, but I SHOULD be able to finish it tomorrow. I also need to get Logan's formal harness/vest made before Tuesday. And a regular harness for everyday use/warm days, because I'm not liking this V-front I made, unfortunately. I may end up just altering his old harness to fit properly, but altering may be more labor-intensive than starting from scratch.

Not to sound conceited, but I'm really proud of how much I've learned (and continue to learn) about reading dogs and applying it in these last couple years. Bailey used to basically be an out of control reactive dog who had no friends and I often had trouble managing her in public. Now we've got an understanding about her need for space and I've worked darn hard to get her to where she is. And where she's at makes me so proud. The fact that I can trust her not to over-react, or to over-correct, is huge.

Yesterday Bailey was lying down in the house and Gabby walked right up to her, Bailey lifted her lip and snarled because Gabby got SO close without me realizing it. Gabby backed away and Bailey went back to minding her own business. Gabby also tried to barge in while Bailey was being pet, so again Bailey lifted her lip and let out a low growl. Gabby responded by turning away and leaving. Later in the evening, Gabby passed Bailey going the opposite direction and chose to moved over a little further away but continue on to her destination. Bailey makes her desires known, but she doesn't want to start a fight, she just doesn't want to be bothered.

Good lessons for both dogs yesterday. And good dogs. :)

I definitely thought you were referring to the Grinch and/or Jim Carey. Like that you loved him and wanted to have his children. Took me a minute. :D

Moving in nine days.

I am really, really anxious, primarily about money. Everything will be okay, I know that, but anxiety isn't logical. I'm going to miss Copper a lot. A lot, a lot.

It's going to be an adventure, though. One that I'm definitely ready for. I've been so trapped in this house and this town that I've forgotten how awesome not being here can be.

This time next Wednesday we'll be halfway to Chicago.

I have a 3-3.5 hour dinner in a fancy ass French restaurant for class tonight, and I REALLY don't want to go. I don't want to sit at dinner for 3.5 hours unless there are massive amounts of alcohol involved. And I have a feeling I'm going to have an access challenge with Logan. I've only ever had one access challenge, so it's not like it happens all the time, I just have a bad feeling about this place.

No. Well, yes, I could, but I won't. The law does not require people to call ahead when they have a service dog. If I do so, it sets an example, and then they'll expect every SD team to call ahead. In all likelihood everything will be fine, and I'll advocate and educate if it does happen. I just really am not looking forward to this thing.

I care too much. Over things that I really even shouldn't. I am leaving my job in a few days and I've made notes about a bunch of my customers and their needs and I am so worried over nothing that they won't be taken care of how I would take care of them haha. It's not even my store. I can imagine how neurotically obsessive I'd be if I did own my own store.

For those interested, I actually was accepted quite graciously into the restaurant, where the owner promptly complemented my dog's gorgeous red coat and told me how good it looked on him. Then I was escorted to the banquet room by the owner himself, before everyone else, and told to select the seat the would work best for me, and they reserved the spot. After the THREE ****ING HOUR LONG DINNER I was complemented on my dog's behavior, and told they had forgotten the dog was there until he got up when I left. Overall, I was exceptionally pleased with the whole thing. Oh, and free steak dinner (possibly the best I've ever had), so I suppose it was worth it ;)

And that is how life SHOULD work for you. All the time.
