There were times in VA where I shut my engine off entirely and pulled my kindle out. Or drove along the side of the road until I found an exit and got off of it. Oh, and you know how they have those long exit lanes that eventually go back on the highway? I shamefully used them.
Traffic in the DC area is so amazingly bad. Sunday night the Bay Bridge was closed. Eventually made it past that, only to get to 495 and have them close 495W in front of us. Most of the time I don't even notice how much it sucks.

I may actually need to go on anti-depressants this year. >_<

And it's snowing. Lightly and it's not sticking because it's still 60F, but still. There are tiny white flakes blowing around. It's October 3rd. NOT READY FOR THIS.

I hate the traffic in DC/VA area so much. I just want to get out of this area for good. Ugh.

It just gets to the point where you're like, what? This is bad? I'm eating popcorn, sipping a slurpee and watching episodes of scrubs all without getting out of second gear. I THINK THIS IS AWESOME.

. . . you can all imagine me doing that, can't you?

Anyway, good news in wrong thread: I'm going to be in the VA area for the first two weeks of Nov. TWO WHOLE WEEKS. You know you want to hang out with meee.

Some douche in an Envoy tried to kill me on the highway tonight: swerving at me, in front of me and then slamming on his brakes, all the while flipping me off.

I called 911 and reported his ass as a dangerous drunk driver.

The people that take my exit on the highway are idiots!

To get off at my exit the right highway lane splits (keeping to the left left keeps you on the highway, keeping to the right puts you on the exit ramp) and another lane opens up to the right. Up at the lights the right lane splits in two so you end up with a left turn lane, a right turn lane and a center lane that can turn both ways. For some reason, people keep merging into the right lane to go around the turn and then merge back over to the left lane to make the left at the light.

Today a guy flew across 2 lanes of traffic and cut me off while I was exiting and then he merged into the right exit lane. I stayed in the left lane because I was making a left at the lights and then another left further down. I continue on my way and catch up to the guy around the second turn (I wasn't trying to catch him, I generally take the exit pretty quickly) only to have him try to swerve into the left lane that I'm sitting in right beside his car. I look over just as he's swerving his car back into the right lane because he finally notices that "Oh crap, there's a car there".

The best part was that apparently he needed to pull across 2 lanes of traffic and nearly hit my car on the ramp to get to... the convenience store! I hope that whatever he was buying was important enough to nearly cause an accident for.

SO and I have been arguing a lot. Or, not arguing, just simultaneously not feeling great about our relationship. And compromising A LOT. I don't know if we'll last, and I'm scared. He thinks we're just too different. I think if we work on communicating better we'll be ok. :/
