Pretty sure I snagged a job as a waitress at a local bar/restaurant. They came up and offered me the job. Interview/something tomorrow at 5:30. So did a bank, actually, but their online system sucks, and the application I've been trying to fill out won't go through, so we are at a standstill.

So $10 an hour with constant hours, holidays off, and paid vacation at a job that makes me, my life, and relationship less stressed but is definitely new to me....or bust my butt as a waitress all night dealing with drunk people, grabby guys, being paid $2.30 an hour, but making a fortune and a half in tips in a job I already know?

For now, I'll probably end up still taking the waitress job, but keep looking to get a job at the bank. But...meh.

Personally.. I would take the job at the bank. I did waitressing for yours and while tip money is good, a steady income/schedule and having a LIFE is better.
waitressing jobs will always be there and always be plentiful (especially since you are experienced) but honestly, I would give the bank a try!

The bank job is definitely preferred, but their system does suck. It's all online, and it keeps going out so I can't finish it, randomly deleting stuff, etc, etc. It could be another few weeks before I either get on there, they hire someone else, or I pursue a different bank. Or I might not get hired at all. It's a gamble, especially since I sort of need money now.

So fingers crossed the waitress job works out for now. It'll be rough if I do get the bank job because I don't need ANOTHER job that I was at for less than 6 months on my resume, but it'd be rough to do 5pm-3am, then 8am-4pm too. And above all else, I need an income/money now. Tips would help out a ton right now, as opposed to waiting 2+weeks even if I got on the bank job tomorrow.

So I guess we'll see.

Now that I have upgraded to the Iphone 4s I have siri again to play with. To make Hannah laugh today I told Siri to call me Tinkerbell, so it did. But now I can't get it to call me Tanya again LOL. I keep saying "Call me Tanya' and she says "you want me to call you Kenya?" NO call me Tanya. "You want me to call you Tanyia (sounds like Tanyeeea.) it has a nice ring to it"... NOOOO. TANYA..."Kenya?"

forget it... I'm tinkerbell

Hey, I know boston well enough-so instead of getting on the subway only to transfer a stop later, I'll just walk the 5 minutes to the next station....famous last words HAHAHA *cries*. 30 minutes later, finally gave in and got on at that darn stop. Later confirmed I had walked in the exact wrong direction. How was I so wrong? HOW?

Clearly Merlin needs to become my service dog to guide me about boston, kthx.
