I keep flip flopping between cutting my father out of my life and trying to work it out.

He's such a selfish asshole.

But sometimes he'll say sorry and talk to me like I matter.

And then he'll ruin it by making some mean, selfish, ridiculous comment.

Ugh. I just wish he would grow up and stop using his 'disability' as a crutch. And stop acting like I am THE WORST DAUGHTER EVER.

I'm not a bad person. I'm not a bad daughter.

But telling yourself that only works for so long. Am I bad person/daughter? Or is just an ass?

Nothing like your father questioning your sense of self....

This cough and sore throat will not go away. I'm generally capable of ignoring sore throats, but this one is persistant and stabby. Throat looks fine, though, so I'm assuming no strep, etc. It was rent paycheck period, so I feel too poor to justify spending $45 at the doctor and then whatever on meds, so I need wait until the next pay period. Particularly since the lad his chaperoning the senior trip to Disneyland and other such theme parks and, while the trip is free for him, food and whatnot is not. So that's several days of eating out in California.

Stupid germs Yesterday I coughed so much that I threw up an apple (the gross things you learn)

A good client of ours at work found a gorgeous, handsome black Chow/Samoyed mix and couldn't keep him, so she was looking to place him. He would have been PERFECT for Mike's mom. She's said off and on she's wanted another big spitzy dog, not only for companionship, but also for protection. Mike has been looking around for one that would be a good fit, to hopefully help her out with her mental issues. So I contacted Mike, who is down with his mom currently, to see if she would want this dog. It would have been an awesome match.
But she doesn't want him. Which is really frustrating, because when she is in her good mental state she wants a dog, it is just when she is having issues with her depression she feels like she isn't worthy to even have a dog...and I really think this boy would have helped lift up her spirits and give her a happy thing to come home to in the evenings, and he would have done an awesome job of being a watchful, protective presence.

*sigh* It is hard to help someone when they don't want to, or can't, help themselves.

I tried making bacon-wrapped eggs in muffin tins...but they just sorta ended up grease balls. The bacon isn't completely done and the eggs might be overcooked.

Sigh. Failure.

Yeah, you need to either cook the bacon first most of the way or use some of the pre-cooked bacon. I only did it once but still found it to be SUPER greasy, the bacon was chewy and soft, and I didn't like it. Not enjoyable to eat. x_X
Instead I just cook my bacon and chop it up into bacon bits. Mine are layered - cooked crumbled sausage at the bottom, bacon bits on top of that, cheese on top of that, then an egg on top. I also like to crack my eggs into a bowl and stir them all together instead of just straight cracking the egg.

The air conditioning is on in the office and the fans are all on so high papers are flapping around and I can HEAR the fans spinning. I'm f***ing FREEZING.
