That as my understanding too till I started reading a bit deeper. Corsos don't sound like they have a consistent temperment? Forgive me if that is wrong.

The average Corso isn't as intense as the average Fila, or CAS, or what have you. But they can still be pretty intense dogs. And I've personally never met a Corso where the lead wasn't practically an umbilical cord from the handler to the dog in terms of the owner's mood and behavior affecting the dog's perception of a situation. That's a very good trait to have in an otherwise stable dog...with an emotionally stable owner. Unfortunately, there are also quite a few unstable dogs out there being bred and so yeh, temperament can be all over the board.
