Rescue is hard. Even harder when I'm at work and can't be proactive.

Ugh. I was just having a decent day - training dogs individually inside while the rest were outside. Had Em in, the rest started playing outside loudly - neighbors called. Didn't pick up, they didn't leave a message.

Mom has made me very paranoid recently that they are bothered by the noise, which is ridiculous, considering we've had dogs the entire time we've lived here (20 years), and they have never complained. So much for training today.

UGH Brian ended up "talking" with the problem neighbors sister yesterday (the lady that owns the house isn't really a problem and tries to keep her sister under control it seems but the sister is just a hateful person). they were blaring their music again (it's so loud that we can't even hear our own TV in our own house and they do it everyday) and Brian leaned over the fence to request they turn it down and the sister FLIPPED OUT. Like totally lost it and called us the N word and everything.

Brian finally talked her down and was like "hey just relax, let's just talk like adults."

so she managed to stop screaming her head off for a few moments and Brian just explained that we aren't trying to be jackasses but they are violating the peace of our home on a daily basis. he told her that he doesn't really care about anything else that they are doing like being out screaming in the yard
at 3 am, fighting in the front yard, etc etc but the loud music has got to stop. She started to go off a little again at that point and was like "well you guys are always calling the cops and you are the only ones who do" and Brian corrected her at that point and said "oh no, we are not the only ones. almost everyone in the neighborhood has called at least once. but let's just think about what you just said for a minute. We are always calling the cops to request you turn down the music... but then you do it again the next day and the cops have to come out again. We've tried asking you to turn it down and you don't, we've tried banging on the wall and you still don't. WHAT exactly do you suggest we do from that point? What would you do?"

At this point it was a pretty calm conversation and she just got quiet when he said that. he then just said "Look, I don't want to call the cops anymore than you want them showing up at your house. I don't want this tension between us making both of our living situations miserable. I just want some peace in my home. ALL I am asking is that you keep the music down to a reasonable level and the cops will NEVER be at your house again... at least not at our request. that's it."

She just responded with "OK" and walked into the house and started going off on her sister (the one that owns the house) in Spanish so... we will just have to see how it goes. We are considering offering a compromise that if they are going to be planning a party for an event just give us some notice and we'll make plans to be out of the house that night as long as it's not every weekend lol.

I'm just so fed up with it all.

That is so much fun. Sigh. Being on Mirena really helped with the whole "dogs getting up in my business" BS. I think it's because the periods are really light.

HAHA. Note to people in non-performance cars: DO NOT TAILGATE SPORTSCARS. We can, and will, stop in half the distance that you can, and you will be at fault. I really want a decal on my back window or bumper saying "if your car isn't equipped with brembos, BACK OFF."

That doesn't sound good. How so?

I don't tailgate a sports far because I have to allow for "gawking" room XD.

@sparks I don't tolorate bad neighbors ... I won't give them the benefit of an explanation, eveytimr they **** me off I always called the police, & when the police inclined hey were tired of it I told THEM to suggest a more perminant solution, that & I have uncanny ways of being very irritating to annoying neighbors. They play their music loud? Give them a taste of their own medicine & I would tell them that if I catch them in my yard, messing with my property (pets included) I have guns & won't hesitate to use them.

After losing Izze to we think human cause ... I am hey intolerant to anything negitive when it comes to my dogs.

Breaking down at work will not help anything. I cannot do anymore than I've already done right now. People just need to chill.

Sooooo little tolerance for rude service today.... We don't have to keep our business account with you, could happily and easily take our parts account elsewhere, and they'd happily take us on... Grrrrrr

I have come to realize I have NO PATIENCE. Especially when on pins and needles waiting to hear back regarding something. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Also, Apollo is going to vet. Mom called me last night and she said it felt like he had a palm size mass under one of his front legs, but he was being a brat and trying to bite every time he was touched, so she didn't know what it was. As he's an indoor/outdoor cat and is only 3 years old, I'm going to assume it is an abscess, but won't know until he's examined. So my sister is bringing him into work tonight (although I won't be there as I have class) and he's going to hang out at the office and get looked at first thing tomorrow during my shift.

So vibes that it is just an abscess, it isn't bad, he heals up well, and he isn't a complete and total psycho cat while we try to sedate him? (There is a reason he has not been to the vet since he was neutered...he is BAD. Even getting him out of the carrier when he was 4 months old for his neuter procedure was very interesting.)

I just want silly baby brat cat to be okay.
