I was so happy I had a dog that could heel, and then I watched a bunch of dogs that could actually heel and I discovered... I don't have heeling. SO, time to scratch and start over.

Our field work is focused on the trifecta of Go - Stop - Come. Um, none of which I'm happy with. I think stop will be the hardest for Marsh, so we're focusing on that for a start. I want to improve the topography of his sit, a better weight shift will give me a tighter turn, I think.

For a turn and sit (think AKC directed jumping but much faster and greater distance), do you like a tuck sit (dog pivots on the front and tucks forward) or a rock back (dog pivots on the rear and pulls front feet back)? And, how would you train that turning on a dime?
