Time to cap some knees... I mean... Wait politely.

I totally bullied and begged my way into this class by asking daily and even encouraging the front desk to fill Sunday first. I almost lost my spot yesterday but the handler pulled after hearing its real foundations with ground work and not "you'll be on contacts on week three". Big evil grin lol

We have a customer at work with a JRT puppy that's almost the same age as Siri, she is in the class and just found out she is moving to Texas in like a week. As much as I like her, inside I was all...

...one more spot open.

Abe got his first Q on AKC Jww thus weekend and that scored him a 3rd place.

Second day was less successful but I was still super proud of how he ran.

So, I don't post in here very often, but just wanted to share that Cricket got four Qs and four 1sts (out of five runs) this Saturday, at a CPE trial. We're a little rusty since I only get an hour to work with her every week, but I was really happy with how she ran this weekend - she was fast, spunky, and just obviously really enjoying herself. First time we'd ever been at this venue, and it was nice, but holy crap was it COLD. Remind me not to sign up for any more March trials in unheated barns.

My sister ran Journey, too, but didn't get any Qs and I think she's going to take a break from trialling for a while. Journey does beautifully in class but lately has been completely losing her mind at trials.

Oh! And Newton is doing SO WELL in his agility foundations class. Proud of this puppy.

Agility with Recon tonight went really well. Frag has the next few months off while he's with his other family.

Recon got introduced to the A Frame tonight and got to take a couple of painful trips over that. Painful to watch, that is, because he has NO coordination so we stopped that right away and just worked on 2o2o which he's picking up moving onto the obstacle instead of just on a plank. He wanted to just run up the A frame and slide down sideways or jump ship at the top though, so we're going to wait a few more months for his coordination to set straight and rear-end awareness (what's that!?) to be "got". Because he'll spin on a bucket all day, but still wants to walk sideways on and off the darned A frame.

We did some send to tables as well which I shaped and he's doing great. Mixing the clicker AND agility was a little overwhelming for him, I think, and when we did some tunnel to table sequences he got a little confused and thought me signalling the tunnel meant to jump ON it and try to balance there.

Then we finished with some obstacle discrimination with tunnel/aframe that he did great with and some weaves and distant/angled entrances. He loves weaves so he had ZERO issues there.
