Hudson's is [Kennel Name] Angel's in Gotham, but the breeder I got him from was pretty OK with everything. A few of his littermates are [owner's last name] [kennel name] [made up name] and one of them doesn't have the breeder's kennel name in it at all, but that might be because that puppy went to the family that owned the sire of the litter.

When discussing registered names for the pup, the breeder was very open to everything and told me that it wasn't a requirement to have their kennel name in his registered name if we didn't want to.

I've always seen the breeders kennel name first. If there is another kennel name I've seen it at the end or middle. I know with Ivans breeder, her Beezer boy was Paradise's No Highland Fling. For the most part the breeders kennel name goes first but you can play around with any other added kennel names.

Merlin's breeder was very flexible as long as her kennel name and the other breeder's kennel name was in there somewhere, to fit the registered name we wanted in she even let us squish it together and add some letters!

Merlin's is..

Interesting, thanks everyone! I love the way registered names look with the kennel names, but never knew how it worked. Not as simple as I'd thought.

In Pems, what you see a lot of is, the main breeders kennel name goes first, after the dogs name goes either to co-breeders kennel name or the name of the kennel the dog was sold to "Kennel name's Magic at Kennel name". Secondary, a lot of breeders also use the litter-by-letter system, first home bred litter all puppy names start with "A", then "B", and so on.

In all honestly, I actually do like the French naming system better, when it comes down to pedigree research I can easily find what year most dogs were born in by just looking at their name! It's just so convenient.

Here it's similar. For example our breeder is having her third litter of puppies this year. Hence, all of the puppies reg. names will start with a "c". This makes it much easier to see when they were born. Most kennels put the "c" (or which ever letter) name in front and then the Kennel's name.
I've seen it the other way around as well, though, that is not the norm. (For example Cold wind of walhalla's Degas) I do prefer the "puppy name" infront of the Kennel name though.
Gipsy's reg. name was invented by us.
Though I must say, it goes nicely, since her reg. name was Gipsy Queen of Highwoods, and new puppy with also have a forest reg. name.

You are the autumn rain, and the spring flowers.
You are the joy when I laugh, and the sorrow when I cry.
You are the earth beneath my feet, and the air in the sky
But most of all, you are my heart.

APBTs in the US are normally just BreederKennelName's Soandso. When I'm naming dogs I personally try to play off the sire and/or dam's names most of the time, and I'll incorporate my kennel name if I can do it without having to do the "of Seven Sins." So, Turtle is Roki's Simply Sinful (out of Roki's Simply It, who is out of Roki's Simply Irresistible).
