That's what Sir ended up doing too. He knew exactly what was making him sick. Frag on the other hand thrives on the same raw diet.

Gotta remember that every dog is different.

Because you're feeding some of the most expensive grain free foods out there? Core and Canidae GF are way way WAAAAY overpriced for what you are getting.
Yup lol.

I feed grain-free Victor, and I get it for roughly $42 for a 30 pound bag. TOTW has gotten REALLY expensive here lately (over $50/bag, nearing $60/bag). I love, love, love the Victor. I feed the Yukon salmon one, but there are a couple other varieties, including a high protein one (and they do mean HIGH protein - dogs didn't do well on that one. Gavroche's BUN levels went up and Logan got super diarrhea on it). They also have a chicken/pork/beef version and a joint health version.

4Health does have a grain-free line now. I haven't tried it yet, but I may get a bag for Gavroche when I run out of food next. Otherwise, I don't rotate anymore because Logan doesn't adjust very quickly, and I can't have him out of work for 4 days every time I get a new bag of food.

I used to get NV Instinct for roughly $38 a bag from sales and coupons at PetCo.

My dogs are currently eating Victor , cant remember the flavor, but it's 35ish for 40 pounds. It's too early to tell a difference on it, but their poops are really good, they don't have cannon butt either.

4health gave Indy a really crappy coat. Like, greasy and nasty. She did better on Pro Plan shreds than 4health.

For REAL. lol. Jackson takes what seems like *forever* to get through a 5lb bag of food by himself. It's awesome. It definitely lasts us over a month.

Dr Tims has a grain-free for a good price (the 5 or 6lb bags are $9.99 on

True Story.
My dogs are both small (well Frodo eats like a small dog, not a medium one) and I can afford to feed them both Stella & Chewys if I need to. Fortunately, majority of my raw is free.

Believe me, hubby and I have had that conversation. Usually while watching Mira wolf down a colossal bowl of food and immediately look for more.

Costco has a grain free? Hmmmm.... I go there every few months, never looked at their dog food!

Yep. I do a big costco trip every threeish months. Their GF food is nature's domain. There's a slightly cheaper turkey, like $33 for 30 pounds, and a fish based one, like $36 for 30 pounds.

Mine have been on the fish for two years no problems. I often buy 2 bags at a time, but it takes my three maybe 1.5 months or so to get through a bag.

Lol yeah that's the one nice thing about Lucy She can be on Fromm GF just because she loves it... but for the other dogs it's TOO FREAKING expensive! I can't even imagine how awesome it'd be to only have small dogs to feed.
Of course, Juno eats way more food than a dog her size really needs to. Stupid metabolism.

Juno did okay on Natures Domain too. The salmon one was better tolerated than the turkey, for some reason. My brother's 2 boxers do really well on it as well (no gas!).
