What are good options for these kinds of food? Any that can be found at petsmart?
Not for me, it's for someone else.

I don't know about PetSmart, but PetCo carries some (not all) varieties of Wellness (not sure if they have the Core or "Simple Solutions" varieties), Natural Balance, and I think they carry some varieties of Merrick's as well. Between the three I would think that your friend should be able to find something to suit her there.

It's actually REALLY RIDICULOUSLY STUPID hard to find something without chicken in it. Zander can't have processed chicken, so it's hard.
The only ones I've come across in Petco (not sure about Petsmart) is Wellness CORE Fish and Merrick's Grain-Free Pork. Fromm Beef Frittata also doesn't have chicken, and it's grain free. But I don't think any big name pet chains carry them.

I do believe that Holistic Select Grain free is without any chicken.

*welcome to my world*
Just gave a quick skim of Petsmart website, the only one I could find that matches the criteria (maybe, because the ingredients weren't listed but I think there's no poultry in it because I considered it before) was Innova prime, pricy but they could try that . They do also have Wellness core at Petsmart. Outside of that my suggestion would be to also look at California natural, always few simple ingredients.

Hello Laurelin,
They should feed raw.

Hello Laurelin, Sassafras is correct about Wellness Core being good. Stay away from Natures Balance, all of their foods contain grains which absolutely must be avoided. If feeding commercial, keep in mind that because of the moisture content, wet food is healthier for cats/dogs than kibble. The best commercial kibble is Orijen. Orijen Regional Red has NO chicken, containing an unrivaled 11 fish/meat ingredients. Orijen was voted best commercial pet food for three years in a row. They go as far as stating all their fish/meat ingredients are “DELIVERED FRESH, preservative-free and never frozen.” Orijen’s slogan is “No dry dog food on earth can match the quality, quantity and freshness of ORIJEN's fresh regional poultry, fish and meat ingredients.” BTW, I don’t feed Orijen for my five animal companion (I feed only raw) but I recommend them for my clients who don’t want to feed raw or wet food and would be my choice if I did only feed kibble. Petco/PetSmart are not good places to go for pet foods. I don’t know where you are in Oklahoma so here’s the places that sell the good stuff and could definitely help out Summer & Mia: Claremore Out Run Dogs 18022 S Creekside Drive Claremore, OK 74017 Phone: (918) 724-7277 Lawton Just 4 K-9's 1302 N.W. 47th Street Lawton, OK 73505 Phone: (580) 536-5505 The Paw Spa 1716 W Highway 152 Mustang, OK 73064 Phone: (405) 256-0728 Oklahoma City A1 Pet Emporium 9417 N.
