At our house, Cross met Pi once. He thought Pi was utterly fascinating and kept trying to get him to play, but Pi stayed out of reach. LOL I didn't see any form of prey behavior in that setting.

Keira thinks the world has no need for cats. I wouldn't put her in a home to live with a cat. She quivers around them and desperately wants to chase them, but respects that 1) she's leashed around them in other peoples' homes, and 2) I tell her to leave them. I don't know if she'd actually catch and purposely hurt a cat or not, but she definitely wants to chase and might accidentally hurt one. But if it scratched her she'd back off and does seem to respect a hiss.

Ripley, I'm not sure. He hasn't really been around many cats since he was a puppy. He used to want to chase and splat them, but in play. He'd probably do the same now. He's very curious about cats.

Dance used to be afraid of cats. Then she got to know a couple this summer and is much more comfortable with them, except now she chases cats that make sudden movements and will back one into a corner. If they hiss, she gets frustrated and barks but backs off.

Journey's never seen a cat. I imagine she'd behave with a cat like she does anything else though. Happily and playfully, curious, but with a sense that she should be careful because they're small. Aside from wanting to pounce on Izzie, she's normally remarkably gentle with small dogs, and I think she'd be the same with a cat.

With all of that said, with the exception of Journey, none of my dogs are remotely cat friendly to wandering cats that come into our yard or sit on our fence. We have this one huge grey cat that likes to wander in our yard because he knows the dogs can't get to him (the yard is blocked off from the deck with a gate - they have access to their gravel run only unless I let them on the yard) and I swear he comes by just to taunt them. They don't bother him at all. I always have to tell him to get lost. He also sits on our fence and doesn't even budge when the Dobermans bark at him. He's very annoying.

Duke is kind of afraid of cats. He doesn't mind them, and won't spook super easily, unless the cat gives him a reason to. I'm sure if I got a kitten, he'd be okay with it. When he was younger my grandmas cat liked to torture him. She'd be really sweet, going in and out between his legs... and then would swat at him and hiss. Or if he was cuddled against me, and she was on my lap.. she would be grooming him so nicely then just bite him.

Weird, mean cat.

By some odd stroke of luck, they're all totally fine with cats. They don't even pay attention to them but don't mind being laid on or snuggled up with. Even Shambles!

Jack and Jonas, however, will run a cat down outside. Jack got a hold of one once in his mouth but dropped the cat immediately when asked.

Pompadour is both curious and afraid of cats.

He is curious of the ways they move, but afraid since most of them are bigger than him.

He is 7.5 pounds, and one time at the vet there was a girl wit a cat that was 18 pounds and the cat was looking at Pompadour like saying "ha and that tiny thing is supposed to be a dog?"

Sienna loooves cats. I think she was raised by them or something - she actually prefers cats over dogs. In my old neighborhood there were lots of indoor/outdoor cats, so we would see them on walks all the time. Sienna always wanted to make friends, but of course the cats wanted nothing to do with a strange dog! Poor Sienna would get the most hurt expression, like "mommy, why don't they like me?"

My first cat, Georgette, I had before I got Sienna, so she's still standoffish with her although they will touch noses. Claire, a failed foster kitten who lives with my former roommate, was Sienna's BFF. They played chase games (taking turns of course) and slept on the same bed. I felt bad for Sienna leaving her buddy behind when I moved, but two humans (one with cat allergies), two indoor only cats and one dog in a one bedroom apartment would be too much, and I had to keep George of course since she's my first baby. Claire still lives with my old roommate, so they get to visit sometimes at least.

If I had time and access to the right cats, I would totally train Sienna to be a cat detection dog - she's a natural!

Charlotte likes cats, and actually helped us raise our cat when he was a kitten.

Ma'ii is okay with cats so long as they don't run. If they run, he will chase them.

In our house the cats are just more dogs to them I think. Now Casper the old cat just doesn't react to other animals anymore, at 19 he just looks at them shrugs his shoulders and saunters to a sleeping place. Paper is a freak with people and animals he doesn't know, he is just a spaz, he won't let new dogs near him at all, he sits on a chair and hisses. But our five all play with each other.
This is pre diesel.

And this is how gage plays with paper, he will push the cat around the room like this.

Moses is oblivious to our cats. However, if he sees a cat outside while he is off a leash... off he runs. Even at twelve, he sure can run, but we keep a much closer eye on him now that his hearing is worse and since that's how he tore his ACL a few years back.

Cali is in love with the cats. She'll lick their faces and inside their ears, and two of the three cats tolerate it. My cat will smack her if she even thinks about licking her. But, it's a different story when a cat tries getting attention, Cali will either run up to the cat and give them kisses, or try to chase them away. Seeing as how she's only half as big as our smallest cat, I don't think they really see her as a threat, haha.

The two and a half year old papillon. Crazy. Social butterfly. Clever.

Aeri saw a clinic cat at the vets' office today - she ran up to squish him like she does with Pi and was very disappointed when the cat poofed up and ran away.
