Default Best Crate Mat EVER!

I figured I'd share my awesome find just in case this isn't already common knowledge. . . even if it is, I still think it's awesome.

"The Mat" by Sleep Innovations is the best dog crate mat I've ever seen. I found one at costco for less than $10 and had to try it. Mine looks a little bit different than theirs, but it's the 24x36" and fits perfectly in the crate. It's soft, cushy memory foam with a fuzzy microfiber top that you can probably wipe pet hair off of. The bottom has a rubber backing so that it grips the crate and won't slide around, and it's so thick Middie can't dig it up like he does with blankets.

It was cheaper than a typical crate mat because it's designed for the bathroom, is machine-washable, and way more cushiony - and is just the right size for a medium-size dog crate!

We have a bunch of these for dog shows! They work amazingly. Only complaint is if you wash them they take forever to dry, even when put in the dryer.

I'm so glad to see this! I need to try it! Violet broke the tray for her crate into a billion peices and she tears up blankets and such.

Umm, if she's broken her crate tray up due to chewing I don't think this is the best option. It's definitely destructible.

Good to know. Hopefully it wont get dirty.

I would imagine it's great for matwork training as well.

I'm thinking I'll get some pvc, and elbows, and make a 'frame' that fits into the bottom of the crates, then take that to a lady who does sewing and get her to make a bed/cover that goes over it. I'd like to have the crates IN the indoor area of their 'room' but at the moment I have to keep the crate doors shut or they'll drag their beds outside into the snow/mud. But the foam ones sound good for travel.... hm.....

Sorry I thought you said you got it due to him tearing up other things!
