I was just brushing Cali a few moments ago and noticed that she had a fair bit of dry skin on her ears. So, I was just wondering what exactly would help the skin and what could be causing it.. I've read it could be allergies or just be due to the cold, winter weather but I'd like to get some of your opinions. Thanks!

Mine are always itchier in the winter. I use coconut oil - both in their food and topically if it's a spot where the hair is a little patchy (like ears).

Thanks! I'll have to pick some up. I'm probably going to give her a bath today so I'll have to make sure to get out all the shampoo and maybe see if I can find coconut oil around the house.

A humidifier helps Gavroche with his ears as well as my own dry skin. I'm lazy so I have two set up - the loud one runs during the day and the quiet one at night, and that way I can go 2-3 days without refilling them.
