Hi all.
Our 7 month old female puppy is going through her first heat cycle. Everything seems just as usual except her unwillingness to go potty where she used to. We have already housebroken her and she has been consistently going on her potty pads at a specific part of the apartment for the last few months. But for the last 3 days, she has been stubborn and has been pottying all over the apartment. Everytime I bring her there she just looks at me and sits down. Could this have anything to do with the heat cycle? One more thing that I thought might have an effect is that my girlfriend is on a vacation. Could the dog miss her...a change in enviroment?? Any input will help alot. Thanks... Calvin |

OH yeah, she's doing that for attention. When I went to Vegas and had my cousin to watch Toki , I heard he was really bad when i was gonne. He wouldn't pee in the right places, chew up almost everything on the floor, extremely hyper, and barking.

Both things are probably working on her. They get PMS. Isn't that just what you wanted to hear?
![]() Time for spaying! Be sure to keep her up and away from any male dogs until she's completely through - not just after she stops spotting blood. You'll need to keep her up for another ten to fourteen days after the spotting stops, at least, just to be safe. It differs with every dog, so better safe than sorry.

Thanks for your input...
and No thats not what i wanna hear she's alittle better now... still alot of mistakes.. but better... We do not plan on spaying her... will find her a boyfriend sometime in the future... she is a house dog and is strictly watched over when we bring her out so no worries about male dogs. Thanks again |
