Default Can dogs eat mealworms?

Yea, weird idea, but DH has been thinking about raising mealworms since he's read so much about how they are eaten as a snack in other countries and it got him wondering if they could ever be a protein for dog food. I promised I'd ask you guys.... LOL

I don't see why not...

I just gave one to Webster. He gulped it down. I'll let you know if he turns green or something

ETA: I don't think I would really be tempted to use them as a significant part of their diet though lol. It just seems like it would give them runny stools...but I imagine any dog that eats dry dog food with grains eats mealworms (albeit processed ones) even if they don't realize it.

Mealworms have next to no nutritional value...as a treat, sure, but I don't think as part of their diet would be good.
