White socks with skinny jeans

I am so glad I'm not alone in any of my sock non-opinions.

I hate black socks, because they pick up all sorts of white fuzzy crap, so they end up sitting in my drawer. I mainly asked because she was so ADAMANT that this was an unacceptable thing. I thought maybe it was like the black sock and sandals taboo

I almost always take my shoes off when I go in to someone's home, unless they forbid me from it or something, and then in my own home too, I don't wear shoes, so those are the ONLY TIMES socks would be visible.

I get around this by wearing the most garishly bright colored socks I can find. Usually with individual toes.

And by not wearing skinny jeans.

Wait... I'll go google if there's some obscure etiquette rule about white socks after Labour Day. My mother used to swap out her white purse for her black purse on Labour Day, it was sort of a family event (we didn't get out much). Exact same purse, but black instead of white.

I soooo don't match my socks to outfits. You friend would die if she saw some of the outlandish bright colors I paired with my colored skinny cords and jeans, LOL.

I hate skinny jeans period ... I have the body to wear them I just ... I don't know call me a cow girl I guess but I like my boots on the insides of my jeans thanks :/

OH hates white socks too ... I hate dark socks even in winter they make my feet itch & sweat.

I only own white socks lol yeah I wear them with my skinny jeans all the time!

If I had neon mismatched socks, I would love to wear those instead. lol I have never heard before that there was a "rule" like this.

I personally think that the best socks with skinny jeans are ones that go up to your armpits, because I can't fathom the appeal of skinny jeans I have yet to see someone wearing them where I thought "that is a fantastic fashion choice!"

All of my socks, other than a few dress pairs and a few super heavy SmartWool pairs, are ankle height black or grey. I hate white because I spend so much time outdoors in fields/woods that inevitably, my feet get wet, and either dirty water seeps through or the dye on my shoes does.

Me, too, although the UGGS with jeans tucked in is starting to grow on me. But I HATE jeans tucked into cowboy boots.
