Maybe the homeless man saw the outside world as his home. I know that is how the woods feel to me. Good for him., that's how I feel too, I just hate to see it this way.
I feel the same way Smkie. When I'm outside, either in my own little piece of yard or out walking in the woods, along a beach, it feels like another room in my house...just that it's an outside room with no walls. lol. It's really my "church." I have no doubt that homeless people or people who just choose to live outside tend to feel that way. Or I would hope so. That fella sure does. It is too bad that everybody doesn't feel that way so to be good stewards of the land.
"If you love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." -- Samuel Adams 1776
