those of you with them.. what is a normal weight for them? is an 80 pound one like way to big?

ok thank you..not familiar with the breed so i thought i would ask before i told a friend on a different forum to put her beagle on a diet.

I feel like beagles are usually like... 25lbs. I may be losing it though. There's 2 categories... under 13" and under 15", so 80lbs is HUGE. Though, if she has a poorly bred, "giant beagle" I could probably see it being 80lbs.

That dog is huge.
Way beyond huge.

Regardless of the average weight of a certain breed.. that dogs body condition is off the charts obese. Overweight doesn't even cover it!



even if the beagle breed standard said "dogs must weight 1000 pounds" IN WHAT WORLD WHAT ANYONE THINK THAT DOG IS A HEALTHY WEIGHT?!

she has 2 other beagles also overweight just not 80 pounds

I'm honestly curious... can you find a picture of the beagle standing? ...does it/can it stand?

she said they cant stand very well. they mostly sleep and eat and her family helps them outside for the bathroom
