We have a vizsla that stays with us sometimes. Her mom is adamant about bringing her OWN crate which is WAY too small for her dog so we usually set the crate aside and stick her in one of the bigger crates instead at night. She never calls and the dog usually ends up staying quite a few nights later than planned. Then she gets MAD that we gave her dog a bath too early. We usually give dogs their baths the day they are scheduled to go home. Also... we have one client that irritates the living crap out of me. She expects special treatment ALL the time. One night she came in about 30 minutes before we closed to drop off her dog. Her dog wasn't on the boarding schedule so I gave her a confused look and she said, "Oh I'm just dropping him off for a few minutes because I have to run a quick errand." ok then. We close at 7 on weekdays. 7:05 rolls around and he still hasn't been picked up. I try calling her. No answer. 7:15 rolls around. I call her again. No answer. 7:20 I'm irritated and I call her AGAIN.... she answers. She says, "Oh actually he is going to board tonight and he still needs dinner." WHAT THE?????????? I wanted to punch that snatch through the phone. |

People that wait until their dog food is done, the bag is gone, and have no idea any details on what the food might be. Not even colour of the bag. THEN they get mad when I make suggestions because they're obviously not right but they take something there because the dog has absolutely zero food.. Ugh.

When I helped out at our Uptown store a woman came in, came behind the counter and handed me her dog's leash and was like "Just watch him for me while I run next door, I used to tie him up outside but someone tried to TAKE him once."
And I was like a) not a daycare and b) why the hell are you tying your dog up outside of stores, there are SICK people in this world and if they just took him, that'd probably be getting off easy.

Bully sticks are serious business, guys! I remember once a customer called in like 2 minutes before we closed and she was all "I will be there in 15 minutes! Please stay open for me! I really need to grab something before I go out of town tomorrow!" Okay... fine.... we all think she needs a bag of food. No. She needed bully sticks. So that the dogs would not be sad at "grandma and grandpa's" house.
It's called planning ahead, people!

"It's like, round and about this big *holds up fingers to show how big*, and I think the bag has some green on it!" Oh, really? Well that narrows it down... -.- Also people who shop at our store forever, and buy the same thing, but can't ever remember what the heck it is. If I have to look it up once or twice? Fine. I get it, and I'm glad to help. When you walk in the door and *I* already know what it is and have it memorized and you don't because you buy it so often and I have to look it up every time, then you're just a dummy.

Also I can identify some kibbles by smell and it weirds out some customers but some are really really impressed by it lol.

But then there are times where they ask you to look up the food, they've been feeding the same food for years, you show it to them, and they're absolutely SURE that's not the right one. It's like, okay, but this is what I have you as buying EVERY TIME, so it's not my fault if it's "wrong" lol
