She did have tummy upset during the hike, too - did your fam feed her something really weird while you were out of town? Not just overfeeding like you thought? I'd worry about pancreatitis especially.

Now, the plane is crowded but I come to discover that there is this lady flying with her child (like..9ish years old boy I would guess) and they couldn't get tickets together so they are separated. I am sitting on the only two seats available and nobody will trade with them because they both have middle seats.

I must have a big sign on my forehead that says SUCKER because the flight attendant kneels down and asks me if I would trade with the woman's seat and give up my AWESOME FIRST CLASS SOLO ROW for them and wtf am I supposed to say?! NO?!
So I say yes, I'll trade with her and her kid. The flight is only 3 hours and she wants to sit next to her child so I felt bad. I mean..thanksgiving spirit and all. The flight attendant is of course super nice and thankful and give me a snack and points for the admirals club.

So I am gathering my things and this woman and her child stroll up to me and are STANDING next to me waiting and just STARING with blank annoyed faces as I gather my things. Like they think I'm taking too long.

BITCH I TRADED YOU MY EXPENSIVE FIRST CLASS SEAT FOR YOU AND YOUR **** CHILD!!
I hope you enjoyed the blanket, pillows, huge seat, a/c adapter and food that I PAID FOR YOU UNGRATEFUL PEANUT BRAINS!

She just stands there impatiently with her kid who has already lounged himself in the seat next to me and when I get up she plops her butt down and that is IT.
The flight attendant thanks me and then brings me back to my tiny squished seat in row 30.

Whatever. the flight was fine. I mean, it's the PRINCIPLE of the matter. Like..why wouldn't you at least say thank you?! she didn't even make the kid say thank you!! RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE

YOU ARE THE REASON EVERYONE THINKS PARENTS ARE A BUNCH OF ENTITLED A HOLES AND BTW YOU ARE RAISING A LITTLE ENTITLED A HOLE.

Looking back, I wish I would've just been the kind of person to be like "You know what? No. I don't like your attitude and I am keeping my seat."
but no, I just sat there packing my things and smiling like they were doing me a favor. UGH.

Next time this comes up I want to be like "Next time try booking your flight earlier if you want to sit next to your kid! NOT MY PROBLEM."
but of course I will probably just do it again.

Wow, yikes. Shame on the flight attendant for putting you in that position. No reason why some single flying people in coach couldn't have been shifted if necessary..especially if the kid is 9. I would have hoped they gave you some miles or a giftcard or something...

Wow Fran... I guess you can't do anything about that cow now, but maybe you should write the airliner and explain that sometimes you're too polite to say these things in person but you really feel you should be reimbursed for your first class ticket... I cannot believe they didn't do that to begin with. Like what's the difference between first class and economy? hundreds of dollars right... no way you should have hundreds of YOUR MONEY go down the drain for accommodating another of their customers and making their lives smoother. They're a big company and they should cough up..

I'm 99% sure they wouldn't have given her anything other than kibble, if they did, it would have been simple plain chicken or turkey or something. Nothing "weird".. they're quite picky in terms of food anyway.

I'm calling the vet tomorrow regardless to get her in.

Not good, good luck at the vet tomorrow! Keep us posted. Pancreatitis sounds plausible. Would she have been given any of the turkey skin? That stuff can definitely cause pancreatitis.

Nope, would have been plain boiled just meat, and likely chicken if anything. Think like..if you were doing a chicken and rice meal plan for a sick dog after fasting. The amount she would have gotten would have been minuscule for her size also, sized for ferrets.

Wow Fran you are a wonderful person I wouldn't have done it or if I was treated like that ... I would have called the flight attendant right back & said never mind. If the lady would have gotten mad I would have said what I always say when someone confronts me: "ma'am/sir (which ever applies) I deal with horses for a living, I have been thrown, pawed, stepped on & kicked. I can lift 80 + lb bales of hay, you won't be a problem trust me."

I sure hope this clears up soon & all are well for the holidays, sucks for SNYONE to be sick this time of yr ... Even animals .

Vent: a new drilling rig is going up in the property behind us, I can hear the pipe saws cutting at all hours & I can see the rig from my back yard ... The noise doesn't bother me ... But the fact that everyone but us seems to have oil ... BOO! How come everyone else gets all the luck

^This. They should reimburse you for your first class ticket. I'd write the airline. First off, they shouldn't have asked you in the first place. And secondly, if they did, they should have given you back the difference. Heck, when I flew out of the US, I took a different seat in economy because the people next to me had a dog and a baby. They only booked 2 seats (plus a baby bed) and I was sitting next to them. The flight attendant asked me If I wanted a different seat because me knee were up against the baby seat.There were only 2 seats left, one smack dab in the middle (like 5 seats in the middle row and I was in the middle seat - I had booked an economy plus seat in an aisle) and they put me in a free buisness class seat.
Doesn't speak for the Airline in your case IMO.
