I imagine it would, though muscle relaxants are also part of treatment and pain management.

have you asked the vet about pain meds (if he hasnt perscribed anything for him already) Izze had an abnormality in her spine that caused arthritis later in her life & i didnt want to go the perscription route (she only had real probs in the winter time) so my vet recomended canine asprin as she needed it.

the prob with ACDs is they are so super tough & they dont really show pain til its really bad (in Izze's case that is) so first thing in the morning i would give her a half of a pill

He's on Tramadol right now, which seems to be working pretty decent, and in two weeks he returns for blood test so that he can be put on a good anti-inflammatory that will take some of the pressure off his back.

My mother in-law is a reiki master, and does it on animals as well as people. She's going to try some on Ma'ii when we go back to AZ in January.

The reiki might well help. Acupuncture could be a good treatment too!
