If you or someone you know has been "kicked out of school" as stated previously for refusing to take meds, they should be calling up every media outlet in the country and they would have 5000 lawyers on their doorstep begging to take the case faster than you could snap your fingers.

A lot of parents, is the answer. And many of them medicate their child simply because they don't want to see them get expelled, whether or not it's legal. That said, if the parents are willing to fight, there's nothing the school can do, as Cali illustrated earlier with her example. In middle and high school, there was a VERY problematic girl. She could keep up with the curriculum easily, I believe she was Autistic...however, she would often have incredibly disruptive outbursts of screaming, running around the classroom, crying, etc...I'm talking on a weekly or more basis. Sometimes, these episodes got violent. She often swung or lunged at other students and needed to be restrained by her one-on-one (which changed every few weeks, I think most quit for being unable to handle her) and on multiple occasions, security was called to restrain and escort her out. This is extremely disturbing for a classroom of 11 or 12 year olds. One time, she had a violent outburst in the locker room, in 7th grade. I was dressed, but every female student in my (mixed) gym class, was rushed OUT of the locker room and into the gym, many of them not dressed, and...(beats me why 7th grades would need this kind of underwear) in thongs, bras, etc. I think they locked all the boys in the boy's locker room, but it was still in front of a bunch of male gym teachers...until the male security guards could come in, restrain her, and remove her from the locker room. How the hell that didn't turn into a lawsuit, I don't know. And she still remained in school, all the way through high school.

I was born and raised in the south. How on earth did I ever never make lower than a "B" in school? And that 31 on my ACT? Why...that must be a mistake! And is it actually possible to graduate college, much less with a BS and 2 minors, with a 3.87 GPA? And then get an AA degree after all that? Wow! And to think I never took a single medication for my generalized anxiety and clinical depression until my senior year of college. And I wasn't expelled either! Wowza!
Ok. I'll go back now to shootin' snakes and eatin' chitlins while spittin' my tobaccey and scratchin' my ass.

In more seriousness, the more I experience people from up north, the more I love the south. Sorry, but true.
ETA: except for Canadians. They seem to be more laid back (similar to the south).

That's just as obnoxious as the obnoxious statement that started it. Especially since so many people move around all over the place now.

We're in the middle of "half-back" country -- lots of people moving halfway back between someplace north after they've lived in Florida for a bit. They've been some of the nicest people I've met . . . and some of the biggest assholes.

Is this seriously going to turn into a south vs north gang battle? lol come on people.
People aren't defined by where they live or were raised. Sure, there are some traits that are more prominent depending on where you go, but it is by no means a sweeping generalization of any person who lives there. Would I willingly go on a bible belt road trip tour of America or move to Mississippi? lol probably not. While I agree it's not a sweeping commonality of every single person that lives in these handful of states.. I prefer to stay away from anywhere that bible thumping racism finds a niche.. and one cannot disagree that it is more prominent in some places then others. So it's just not something I prefer in my vacation road trip locations lol but that doesn't mean everywhere north is without faults or better.. just a safer bet for me. Mixed race atheist and all lol As for which side has the most assholes. I'd say depends on what kind everywhere has plenty! Nice people aren't more nice depending on capita.

There are ignorant people everywhere, including collage graduates and high school drop outs. There are also brilliant people everywhere, including collage graduates and high school drop outs. The circumstances for everyone is different and if people would just stop being such twats to each other maybe everyone could start working together towards a common goal.
