Two cities in my state had equality issues up for vote. Both of them made very poor choices, sadly, though it's not a surprise I hate living in a backwards state.

I'm afraid to look at my Facebook feed. I don't love Obama, but I don't love Romney even more. It is what it is though.

On a side note, it looks like medical marijuana will be legalized here. Yay.

At least, when I say it, it is. I mostly just say it to poke fun at the people that were like, dead serious about it when Bush won.

Voting is some states is totally useless, mine being one of them.

Yeah that's how I feel. Minnesota is always won by the democrat. Always. Sooo knowing that information it's kind of like meehhhh what's the point of voting unless you plan on voting dem anyway.


Also can someone explain to me how someone wins when they have fewer votes? There were just a couple instances I saw (not even necessarily the presidential race - some of the other state stuff) where it was like Candidate A had 54% of the vote and Candidate B had 46% of the vote and they would call "woooo Candidate B wins!" ......How?


I have no idea how any of the local stuff is going down.

Most of that is because of the areas that havent reported yet. For example, if a state has a certain candidate leading but the heavily populated areas that were pretty well sewn up by the other candidate werent in yet, they would go ahead and call it for the other candidate.

Good to know! That doesn't surprise me about the marriage amendment but I had heard a lot of split views on the voter ID, so really had no idea how that one would pan out.

I'm actually far more emotionally invested in these amendments than I am in the presidential election. Voter ID makes me so effing salty.

I will be soooo glad when this is all over. I am SO sick of the phone calls, from both parties. AND I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST. How can this be?! I got 8 calls today alone. And the same number has called me 3 times a day for the past 3 days despite me answering it twice and demanding they stop calling me. I got calls from NY, MI, NC... its insane

"Mitt Romney" called our school today. The director answered the phone. This was the joke of the day. Even they were irritated.
