I'm sure its a simple fix but I can't think of it >.<
Let me start by saying that I have tried searching this site and other sites and can't find a reasonable solution/similar situation.
Tara, the amazing Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen (PBGV), is 'basically' house trained. She lives with me here in Germany where all the houses have tile or hardwood or laminate flooring. We have no carpet/rugs in our house at the moment. However, when I bring her to my friend's house, she immediately pees on the small area rug. She runs over to any carpet she sees and pees without delay. No sniffing or circling. Its like she LOVEs the feel of carpet under her feet while peeing. LOL Its funny and frustrating at the same time. How can I introduce her to carpet so she doesn't want to pee on it each time. When there is no carpet/rugs in the house, she will go to the door and whine and scratch to get us to take her outside. She'll do this in any building we take her to unless there is carpet inside. She'll even pee on carpet OUTSIDE (we found this out when we were doing home renovations and had a carpet square on the patio). I'm really confused at this point!
Once again, sorry if there was already a thread about this somewhere but I just couldn't find it.
