Pretty sure that's the same as the one I posted, it's the older model. They changed their design somewhat. If you can find the older design, great, but they don't sell them new anymore.

The other thing I'd use when flying is hand-releasable zip ties:

They have them there, or you can just buy them in a hardware store. Use them to secure the door, and they can easily be removed when you get there.

I also have a similar question! I'm flying my dog from Germany to Florida in december. She's a lot longer than she is tall so I am not worried about the crate being too short, but can a crate be too tall for a dog? She's only 5 months old now and still growing so I am waiting to buy the crate till last minute...Shes a Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen to give an idea of my dog.

All zip ties are reusable... Just the little tab thing on them is a pain to trigger. You need like a knife or needle.

I only found out when I was getting ready to fly to Minnesota with Tess last year. I found them on the Dryfur website, which I linked to there (got a lot of useful info about flying a dog there, and bought most of my supplies from them, because it was handy being able to buy everything in one place)

They are awesome! I'd heard about using zip ties on the crate door, and then having to cut them off, finding ones that didn't need to be cut off was amazing. I'll be using them again when I fly to Orlando in December.

(oh, and sorry about the double posting, my computer was being an ass)

Mkay. Bookmarked the 500 kennel and the zippie ties. Might wait and see if I can catch Black Friday sales, since the sites I was looking at either ran out of 500s or weren't included in the sale.

I might just order it all from that one site, if it all isn't too overpriced. Kennels are crazy expensive.

Just bugs me that I don't get any good info until January. I want to know everything now. Not in January. Especially on the subject of him needing a passport or if TMO takes care of that when they ship him.
