Oops, didn't mean to post this yet, didn't give my examples!
(All of these at work, of course.) First we have the guy who runs into the store and proclaims "I just got a Golden Receiver" Hmm, sure ya did. Who can forget the Belgium Maligua?! And today who did we have in? Well a Great Dane/Belgian Malimuse. Seriously. Secondly, highly doubt it by looking at the dog, at least the Dane part. Oh, and it's a Papillon, not a Papillllllon, with a hard L. Dummy. This is by far one of my biggest pet peeves. ETA: DATSUN!

don't forget the 'rockwilder' ....... LOL And I was guilty of asking a cop inspecting the bus I was on once if his dog was a malin-was?!? How embarrassing - I knew better but it just didn't come out that time!

Actually as much as I laugh when people can't pronounce their breed, if I ever get a Berger Picard I think I'll be doomed to forever butcher the pronunciation.

Is is Cane Corso (as in candy cane) or Conn-ay? I said someone with one the other day come up to me saying it was a Conn-ay Corso. I was like...no way.
