At this point in our history as Americans, gay marriage and abortion are distractions. Energy and the economy are far more important.

Right... And we saw what happened when Bush was in office. Why elect someone who agrees with Bush on 97% of policies?

Biden debated much better than Ryan. Yes, he talked over him (and called him on his bull crap) but Ryan also continuously kept going when his time was up and pretty much avoided all the main questions.
My favorite was when asked for specifics and he skirted around...the moderator said "so no specifics" and he still would not answer. Then she said, ok another math question lololol. And no, as I talked about earlier, I will never sacrifice social issues. They are the root of us, they are who we are. The economy is VERY important as well but show me where Romney has actually given a plan...a WORKABLE plan. He talks about how he can fix it, and he says what the results will be, but its a pipe dream. He has no specific plan to get there...or at least he is not sharing it which means there is something to hide. The little bit we do know sounds pretty much like the republican status quo of the past administrations...oh yeah, those policies worked real well

I would like to know what promises Obama has kept that he said he was going to do back in '08.
Because I seem to recall him making a LOT of promises. I do believe Romney will do most of what he's claiming he will do... because he did it in MA (what he said he was going to do when elected). You can't really say it's a pipe dream without giving him a chance to try. If at the end of 4 years, he hasn't done anything he promised, then I won't vote for him again.

So the answer is raise taxes? Like Reagan?
Eh, I would argue that many of his policies are what set up the current mess....deregulate deregulate deregulate. Trickle down does not work.

If we gave Bush 8 years to crash the economy... I think we can give Obama 8 to fix it.
Also, Obama only recently got control of the White House... Republican majority in the senate was not allowing him to pass a lot of his bills. However, he did get a lot done.

Regulate, regulate, regulate, is not the answer either, it only makes things more expensive. We where still better under Reagan then under Obama.

If it took 4 years for Obama to get control of the White House he needs to go. He started out with a Dem majority.

Election promises are goals. The president does not have ultimate control or power. Are there things that Obama didnt get done that I wish would have? Oh heck yeah. But seriously, ones he has kept???? Long list coming up.....Ok, I got tired....I only copied about 1/5 of the list
you can see the rest here Quote:
