LOL I completely missed the part that Fromm was a choice... I'd go them first and foremost, though Go! between Go! and Merrick.

I really want to like Fromm but my dog just does "meh" on it. It's a super popular seller though so I'm imagining all the other dogs on the planet do just fine on it lol. So I would probably give that one a try first, because it is still a good company but reasonably priced (at least here it is - the price of Go and Now takes it completely off my list of foods I would buy).
After that, yeah I'd do the Go!. I don't mind Merrick especially now that they've redone their dry foods, but it wouldn't be at the top of my list either. My dogs and I have serious love for their canned food though

at the price at our local pet store. Jackson typically loves larger kibble (though he is obsessed with Fromm, which is tiny) so I was looking into the Large Breed Adult grain -free and it was $27.99 for a 6lb bag! I crossed that off. I don't want to get anything larger as it would take Jackson foreevverrr to get through it. The only way I'd try Go! though is if I order it online. Their fit+free chicken one isn't too bad (I think it was like $14.99). But yeah, I'd pick Fromm first, then Go!/Now!

I thought I had heard some negative/recall-y stuff about Merrick but wasn't sure and dismissed it. Glad I posted on here! Thank you all so much. I'm currently paying $42-48 plus tax for a 15 pound bag of Acana, so being able to apply my discount to my dog food will be a nice break!
Fromm was also a consideration that maybe I should revisit. We don't carry any of their grain free formulas so I'd have to special order it in, but as long as I stay on top of it and give myself lots of time to account for shipping it shouldn't be too much of a pain.

Merrick did have a lot of issues, they've recently COMPLETELY revamped their line and it's something I would definitely feed now.

Maf and I were in a few weeks ago and saw they were now going to carry dog foods. Hurray for one stop shopping for all your horse and dog needs lol!
We did get talking to someone (managery) and were like "Why royal canin?" but over all gave feed back that we were excited too that they were carrying dog products. That said, go with Go. |
