I'd rather be the person who took someone who was internet fantasizing about being abused seriously than the person who blew off someone who needed support because I wanted to be too cool to be fooled.

The husband was sentenced to a life sentence with no parole last I can see in 2010.

I didn't know her well but I remember when this happened. I hope her family has found some peace

That is absolutely true. Did she ever talk about any abuse on here? Were there any indications? Wow. And to think everyone thought he was such an "inspirational" guy.

I would hope our forum would be a place where people who feel helpless and afraid will feel comfortable and safe asking for support and some guidance.

It's weird you brought this up, as she's been on my mind for the past week. I don't know why, but I found myself looking up and retreading her posts the other day.

I think I was around here but not actively posting when she was around. She seemed really sweet and her pets are beautiful. I had no idea about this though, I'm glad he's rotting in jail. I pray her family and friends that they found some peace.

Same. A month or so again I went back and read some of her threads

Stuff like this makes me REALLY nervous when people on here talk about how their SO is really controlling. You can say it'll never happen to you but stuff like that is a very serious issue that needs to be taken care of as quick as you can.
