Sort of on topic....I'm craving another Sibe. It's a bit ridiculous. So my warning of the day is...if you get a Sibe, be warned that they are like really, really spicy curry. You take one bite, it burns the heck out of you. Then you want another. Even though you know how well that's going to go. LOL.

That's an awesome comparison. I can see getting into a breed like that. >>must resist<<

Its so true! And I think I like the curry comparison better than the usual potato chip one!

Not joining me as a fellow Kuvasz person Romy? lol I thought you had one in mind for a while.
Oh an Azawak, exotic The Fila would probably be a good choice though - I could totally picture you with one. Females don't get that large do they? Around 90 - 120 lbs for girls I think. I know Fila boys can get MASSIVE though. And yes - definitely a burglar/unwanted guest deterrent just by appearances. I agree about the GSD rescue being ridiculous about not wanting to take an application from you just because there's someone under 25 in the house. Irresponsibility doesn't magically go away with being over 25....(in alot of cases).

Kobe and Ollie don't alert bark at all, neither have any of my foster sibe's and malamutes. The org I do some volunteer work for (Norsled Siberian Husky Rescue) has seen very little in the way of that.
I don't see why a sibe couldn't track, though. I have no experience doing it but it seems somewhat simple to start training. EDIT: that said, Kobe talks enough to give most radio hosts a run for their money. Grumbles, howls, yaps, woof's, etc. But not really barks. And its not alert. Its mostly whining or playing sort of things.

Yeah, they do talk a lot. Often times it seems like just to talk. I love it, personally.
Zander and I have to have our morning talk every day after he's done going potty and eating. I make my coffee and he just talks and talks and yaks and yaks.

Its not an annoying kind of talking, imo anyway. Everyone I know finds it delightful so w/e.

I miss sibe talking/woo-wooing!! My first two huskies did a lot of that, but Violet never does/has.
When she was a pup, I heard her do a teeny bit of wooing, and though that was that, but never again. Occasionally she roos a bit when she yawns but that's it.
