Yesterday I woke up with a very sharp pain in my back, top right, kind of below my shoulder blade, and towards my side (very specific).
It's a pretty intense pain, but only when I move certain ways, or breathe in deep (i couldnt sneeze, that'd kill me). It's a super sharp nervey pain, that stabs and takes your breath away. Not internal if that makes sense, does feel muscular or nerve. The day before yesterday I was driving for about 6 or 7 hours in total, but didn't do anything strenuous. It's no better this morning from what I can tell (its ok if I'm not moving, can't feel anything). Any ideas???

I don't know if that's physiologically what happens, but it sure feels that way! Mine have never lasted longer than a few minutes, thankfully.

I don't know if you can or not, but when anything like you are describing goes on with me, I run to the heating pad, (or hot water bottle) LOL.......usually fixes me right up

I usually do a quick side stretch and then twist at the waist, breathe out as far as I can, twist a little farther and hold it for several seconds.

Sometimes muscle spasms can be so horrendous, that you'd swear it must be something more serious. I'm guessing that the long drive, staying in one position for so long may have sent you into a tight, cramping spasm. I've had things like that which just wouldn't go away and I resorted to taking a muscle relaxant. Glad it's feeling better and I hope it continues so it completely disappears.
