Poor girl. Shes beautiful. Maybe try telling the owners how working with her a little has gotten her to play and be happy and that her weight is really unhealthy.

There is no way that my neighbors are gonna do anything. They are SO not dog people at all, whatsoever. The only reason they have her right now is because of the wife's mothers failing health and she will be going to her brothers soon in the South.

I'm really hoping they take control of her health. She's getting fed Royal Canin that has like no meat in it but I'm sure cost a ton. My neighbors really don't like me (I have dogs ) so them asking me to watch her must have killed them, I'm not going to start lecturing them or even suggesting food.

But I did write a note to them and left it saying she was great and that we bonded and if they want me to walk her ever, at all, anytime just to ask.

She was just sad, it was like she wasn't sure how to be a dog. She was so fat she had a hard time moving but on top of that she just wasn't sure how to play or interact besides petting. And there was a spark there, I managed to bring it out a few times but it was just kinda sad.

But she does have the cutest face

That's just so sad. I wish people could see that it's not just skinny dogs that are neglected. A dog being that overweight is neglect, too. When it can hardly walk, and has no quality of life, how can people think its okay? Especially a breed that's prone to back issues to start with!

Hopefully they take you up on your offer to walk her.
