I've never had one and I don't want one! I see what Kevin and Cat go through when they get one, it's terrible!

Anyway, Kevin uses this stuff to take away the pain so he can eat. It forms a crusty coating over the spot, and I *think* it might also disinfect?

Apparently, it hurts like a mofo to put it on though....

One more thing! I've also heard/read taking L-Lysine can help with canker sores. Don't know if it prevents them or heals after the fact, but you may want to check into it if you haven't already
(Kevin won't even take a daily multivitamin, so there ya go, LOL)

Are you talking about ulcers???

If so, I have one UNDER my tongue at the moment..... In the weirdest place ever. I bit myself there, somehow...

I hate them. I used to get them more frequently, but now I only get them if I bite the inside of my mouth accidentally. Next time I'm trying alum.

I had read that they are often caused by a reaction to your toothpaste. Before I was married, I would buy whatever toothpaste was on sale or looked appealing. I got canker sores all the time. My husband is a very loyal toothpaste brand user. Now that I'm always using the same kind, I never get them. I assume that I probably was reacting to some of the ones I was buying.
