You might try contacting the user Keechak, as she shows her Aussies.

Well there are quite a few different opinions on grooming for the show ring, I preach the natural look with no artificial enhancers. I trim ears, paws and tail and I take off any odd stray hairs to neaten them up a bit. In general Aussies are shown with whiskers on so don't remove those.
Here are some videos made by an Aussie Senior Breeder Judge for grooming for the show ring Grooming/trimming Ears Trimming the dock

Thanks a lot! What kind of grooming supplies might I need to groom him properly?
I know I need a slicker brush, straight scissors, thinning shears, a table for grooming, some sort of blow dryer? What kind of blow dryer, and anything else |

Your best bet is to find someone local that also shows, and get their help with grooming in person. There are some things that are better explained that way. My friend shows goldens and all three have different shampoos, drying methods (one air dries, one is hand dried with a dryer, and one wears a suit and goes in a cage dryer) and different trimming tricks.
