I miss...

The Hong Kong I grew up in; The Union Jack at the top left corner of our flag, the smell of fishballs and Chinese donuts while walking home from school, the simplicity and joy of that time and the city as a whole...I miss my friend; I hope she is still alive and doing well. I miss simpler times when all I had to worry about was if there was stinky tofu waiting for me at home for dinner.

Nothing seems as good now as it was before - nothing as fulfilling, impressive, grand, or mighty. Perhaps it's because I'm not a child anymore - maybe I've grown jaded over the years. But whatever it is....there's something I'm missing - I don't know or care if it's the things I've mentioned that are only facets of something larger, or if it's simply them that I miss - just because I do.

riding through the woods with my dad in his truck listening to the radio. Just spending time together and enjoying eachothers company.

Oh and sleep. Lots of sleep

I miss Disney. I can't wait to get back there

I miss fall and the cooler weather and the comfort food I make when it is chilly out. I miss Thanksgiving and Christmastime and all the festivities. The snow and the decorations. Absolutely nothing like being in my house durin a snowy, cold day with christmas music playing while baking banana bread or cookies and making one of my many favorite cold weather meals.

I miss the days when my kids were young. I had so much fun with them. I have fun with them now, but there is so much more worry that goes along with them now.

My husband and I were just talking about how we missed Ohio, especially Columbus. We spent 5 of the 8 years we've been together there.
