Had some fun today
Erin and I took my lil sister and went to the local shelter today. Austin Pets Alive is a great shelter that takes really good care of their animals, and we wanted to help out a bit. We went and played with some dogs, walked them, and gave them lots of love. If I had a car I'd happily be a regular volunteer. The dogs all seemed really happy to have us there. The only trouble was wanting to take a few of them home.

Me too, Renee! It makes my physically ill to go to the shelter and not be able to take one home... not even to foster.
I just donate monthly.

Thats so great! I bet the dogs loved having you and your little sister. It's really great to get involved with volunteering, it looks great on a resume and it helps make communities whole.
