However unfair the law is, if it is in place, if the dog was indeed aggressive or actually a pit bull in a place that banned pit bulls..I still wouldn't agree, but I could understand it. I just don't see how the 'prosecuting' party can use their own evaluator as the key part of this case and get away with it.

Oh, the court system is just as warped here in far too many places. I've had to stand and bite my tongue way too often. That kind of crap happens less rarely than any of us would like to think.

Battersea is the most famous dogs home in the UK (celebrities love it), and staffies are the UK's number one breed, so it's not unusual that they picked him

Although it wasn't the government speaking it was a powerful organization trying to protect their imagined cash cow...the case of Patrick. That was in the courts for a year if not longer until they finally settled it. I read in one of the AHS magazines a big dramatic statement of how "they lost dear Patrick".

The court voted in favor of the animal hospital that saved his life, it's just sad he had to go through even more than he already endured to finally have a happy home. If you've seen fairly recent pictures he looks like a new dog.

Part of the travesty with this is that DNA identification was, from my understanding, part of the criteria that is required/accepted by their standards of enforcement, yet they cavalierly dismissed their own "rules" when it suited them.

This whole thing is about far more than "just a dog," or even a family. It is about corruption and malfeasance of an egregious nature at a very basic level. This is a group of people who really believed they could do as they pleased to someone else with no consequences, that their own rules don't apply to them. If it were one person acting in such a manner we'd call them a sociopath.

It's over for Wicca guys. The Judge begged the city to give us 10 days in order to file a motion but he asked this on moral grounds since legally, he did not have the power to overturn a death order. The city refused. Wicca's execution stands. Believe me when I tell you all how devastated we are over this but we will not stop. The laws will be changed. You mark my words! Wicca will not have died in vain. LONG LIVE WICCA! (Annie)
