Getting an older dog and competition...

Courtney came to us as an older dog 4 yrs old. She had no training ect and we started doing events!
The only difference to me getting her vs a puppy is it took us awhile to bond, so we couldn't start right away, but she's a rescue that had no socializing ect..so that is a bit different

Thanks for sharing your experience with Courtney! This guy has had some training (though I would have to see what he can do for myself like others have mentioned), and he is definitely socialized (my friend that has worked him in the show ring says that he's got a wonderful temperament). Yeah I know I wouldn't bond right away and I think that's difficult for me because for some reason, I've bonded pretty quickly with all of my guys. It's good to hear that you took Courtney from a place where she wasn't socialized at all to being able to compete

Gives me hope that this might turn out well if it happens
