Default Why can't I have another dog NOW?

Lol, I swear I am so impatient.

But today I took the girls on a run to a few stores. It was freaking hot outside and Mia was being obnoxious from our missed walk yesterday evening (since my car broke down in Tulsa and I was stranded) The last store was Petco. They had an adoption day. They had the most perfect dog there ever and the ladies there were trying so hard to make me change my mind about him.

He was a 12+ inch tall black and white lightly coated papillon boy. Lots of ticking on him. And he was just trembling all over with energy. SO sweet with people and with my dogs too. So much energy. He barked and shook he was so hyper the entire time I was there. They're looking for a sport home for him and they've had him at their rescue for a couple months. They rescue toy dogs and said he's just too much for what most people looking for toy dogs want. He looked so out of place next to their other dogs who were teeny tiny and all quiet lap dog types.

*Sigh* I wish I could have adopted him so badly. I think in the right hands, he'd make a fabulous dog.

I know the pain. I've been impatient for the last couple of months, but I've actually been looking! So many heart-throb dogs, and they've all slipped through our hands.

Hopefully he goes to a good home! He sounds like a wonderful dog.

Aww, he sounds so perfect for you!

I understand your pain though - I'm so thrilled about an ES litter expected this summer. I would absolutely kill for a puppy from this mating! However, while I suppose it is possible I highly, highly doubt I'd be ready for a puppy this summer. 2013 would be better. It would also be September I think before the puppies would be ready to go and I swore my next puppy was going to be a spring puppy so we could do fun stuff all summer to socialize.

I feel your pain. I want a 3rd dog quite muchly. And there are some interesting breedings going on in the APBT world these days that make waiting really difficult. But I can't afford another dog, so wait it shall be.

Of course, Terra did clobber me while we were playing tonight. Now I kind of just want one dog. Or maybe they'll let me trade up to a dog with less idiotic drive.

Me too! I want my next pup now! I am on the list for a litter with a couple as "back ups" in mind but I just want things to get moving!
