Anyone a dental hygienist?

I would like to start school to become one but have to wait a year..
What are some things I can start learning now so Im not too overwhelmed when it comes around..

OOR does anyone work online/from home? That would also be great!

My sister is studying to be a dental hygenist, and to be accepted to the school, she had to take some biology classes at the community college, fill out an application, write an essay, and have an interview. She was accepted without much of a problem because she's been working as a dental assistant for the past five years at the same dentist's office, and is also X-ray certified; so she has lots of knowledge and experience.

One think you should be aware of is that male dentists tend to have an overinflated ego and act like jerks to their employees. I'm sure there are male dentists out there that aren't this way, but my sister hasn't met a nice one yet, and she's met a lot of dentists.

I think there are more male than female dentists, but I don't know the proportion.

Well oh well I guess..When they are nice ones they seem to be really nice!
Alot of the dentist offices I have been in has like pics of them on cruises and vaca..

Speaking about here in the US, I agree with this.

I am in my 40's, been going to the dentist since I was 4. Lived all over, lots of states and even more towns and have NEVER had a female dentist. At the same time, I've NEVER had a male hygienist! LOL.........and I've never thought about those facts until now, hahahaha

My dentist is getting up in age, slowing down, working less. He has rented space in his dental practice (he owns the building) to a female dentist, so it looks like I will have a female dentist someday when he retires!
